Riomaggiore harbour view

Classic Cinque Terre postcard view. Best enjoyed from the panoramic terrace on Via San Giacomo. Very popular spot mid-day and during sunset. For a slightly different vantage point as well as more privacy, try to scramble over the rocks that line up the harbour area.

Manarola harbour view

Another classic Cinque Terre postcard view. Really beautiful at sunset, as well as blue hour. While very popular, it doesn’t feel as crowded, as the view can be enjoyed from anywhere along that side of the harbour. If you have just one evening in Cinque Terre, spend it here.

Sea view from Corniglia

Corniglia is relatively flat and perched high up on a cliff. Because of this, Corniglia doesn’t come with a good view of the village itself, unlike the other four. But it makes up for that with a beautiful vista across the sea and some of the surrounding scenery. Look out for a panoramic terrace at the edge of the cliff.

Vernazza view, 1 - from the direction of Monterosso

Find this viewpoint at the start of the hiking trail leading to Monterosso, for a superb view over the harbour area - probably best around sunset time. Note that this viewpoint falls on the official hiking route, which technically requires a Cinque Terre Trekking/Train Card, as it’s just past the checkpoint. This one can get pretty crowded at times, as the path is narrow, and people tend to linger in that one same spot.

Vernazza view, 2 - from the direction of Corniglia

Find this viewpoint at the start of the hiking trail leading to Corniglia. This view of Vernazza is very different to the other one, so definitely worth checking out both viewpoints. If you just look at the pictures, you might think those are two different Cinque Terre villages.

Fegina Beach View from San Cristoforo Hill

When you cross between the two sections of Monterosso, instead of going through the tunnel, try this alternative route for a change - the narrow path that runs along the edge of the cliff. You will be rewarded with a nice view over Fegina Beach and its numerous colourful parasols.

Old Monterosso View from San Cristoforo Hill

On that same route, you will come across the Capuchin Monastery. From there, you can see part of the older Monterosso and the beautiful nature surrounding it.
